"Good Day, Good Night, and Goodbye"

There is a song for every heart
Untruths between each line
Pain is life as well as love
Confusion and philosophy co-exist as one and the same
In order to understand how I feel
You must die inside
And pray the same prayers I have prayed
Each night I cry to myself
Longing for my loss
A heart so broken incapable of being mended
All the music in the world cannot change the way I feel
All the words I write will never explain the truth behind the smile
Many don’t understand how it is to be on the other side of death
The side where life interferes
The side where happiness is so far away
But is close enough to touch
Hey! I can even dress my tears up to seem invisible
Sometimes I’m happy to be unhappy
Other times it’s like a bullet in my side
I’m tired of writing for the sake of it
So I say “Good day, Good night, and Goodbye!”
